In addition to our investments in startups and commercial real estate, MacroVentures owns and operates a number of our own businesses. We focus on operating businesses that revolutionize their industry by leveraging technology, ideas, marketing savvy, and people to outperform the competition.
We’re always looking to acquire companies with opportunities for growth and add them to our portfolio. Acquisition opportunities that we typically look for are businesses with average or below-average business performance, but a solid customer base and product/service that are in need of additional capital, talent, and ideas.
Although we typically purchase companies headquartered in the Midwest and specifically the Twin Cities, Minnesota area (Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN), we evaluate, and occasionally acquire companies across the country.
Our team has started, grown, purchased, and sold both product and service oriented companies in a wide range of industries and has also spent time on the Fortune 1000 company side of the table looking at growth opportunities, acquisitions, and their financial implications.
Our team’s functional expertise spans the spectrum including starting up, marketing, public relations, social media, product design, manufacturing, business operations, business growth and driving change, finance, legal issues, procurement, human resources, sales management, preparing for an acquisition, and successfully closing transactions that bring value to all parties involved.
